About the course
WSET Level 2 in Wine is an internationally recognised qualification designed for students who already have a basic understanding of wine. It is suitable for wine-interested consumers who wish to broaden their knowledge and make more confident wine choices, as well as for those considering or working in the wine trade.
At Oslo Wine School, teaching focuses on clear explanations, discussion, and guided practice in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Our goal is to build confidence and practical tasting skills, helping students feel comfortable talking about wine and choosing wines for a wide range of occasions. Small class sizes ensure personalised attention and meaningful interaction.
What you will learn
WSET Level 2 in Wine focuses on understanding the world’s principal and regionally important grape varieties, the regions where they are grown, and the styles of wine produced. Students will also explore the key factors that influence wine style, quality, and value.

- Understand how climate, vineyard practices, and winemaking influence wine style and quality
- Recognise the effects of bottle ageing on wine
